Children and Young People’s Safety: What’s the Story?
This one-day conference will highlight the consequences of accidents involving children and young people. Delegates will have the opportunity to hear personal experiences of those who have been involved in an accident or have lost a family member due to an accidental injury. Representatives from the emergency services will also give accounts of their roles in being first on the scene of injury incidents. These and other real life stories will be followed by examples of what is currently taking place in Scotland to bring down the burden of injury –from local initiatives to national projects. Aileen Campbell MSP, Minister for Children and Young People, has been invited to give the keynote address.
